Tamil scholars who have succeeded to win a classical language status from the Government of India in 2004 to TAMIL claim that KONKANI LANGUAGE which is evaluated in 2000 BC is the second old Indian Language after Tamil(3800BC), which is older than Sanskrit (1500BC), Telugu(300BC), Kannada(230BC), Bengali (900AD) , Marathi (1000AD) and also HINDI(1050AD)
