Fake and Facts of Konkanis or Goans

📌 No - People from Goa are not Goanese and neither Goanese is our language.😨

📌 Yes - Konkani is the sole official language of Goa and other Konkani dialects are spoken in Uttara kannada, Udupi, Dakshina kannada districts  of karnataka,  Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri districts   of Maharastra & Kasargod and Kochi districts of Kerala too.

📌 No - We dont party at Titos and Mambos every weekend/New year😪

📌 No we all dont live on the beach 😂

📌 No - All goans do not play Guitar

📌 No - We dont eat  fish for breakfast and drink feni  every minute of the day.

📌 Yes - We have colleges in Goa and they are not on the beach

📌 No Goa doesnt start at Anjuna and end at Calangute.

📌 Yes -  I have better things to do than be your guide.

📌 No - To all who think that every Goan is born with bottle of liquor in his/her mouth.

📌 No - We all dont wear colourful and funky bright cloths.

📌 No - Antony Ghonsalves is not a neiggbour everytime.

📌 No - What you see in Bollywood or in new simba movie is not the real goa.

📌 No - There is nothing called Goa City, Goa is a state and it has 2 districts. 

📌 No - Goa is not just  Calangute, Baga, Anjuna, Candolim and Vegator. This  all places in just one Taluk/Tehsil called Bardez(Mapusa). 

📌 No - not all goans are christians. The population of Christianity follwers are only 24 % in Goa. 

📌  No - Not everyone in goa can speak or read Portugese.

📌 No Goan traditional dress is not frock or gown. Our Dress is Kirgi -Bhaju(Saree)  and Sarong(Lungi).

📌 Dear Tourist Go Goa enjoy, Spend good time and take good memories. Dont make it dirty by  spitting on roads, throw beer and platic bottles in beaches and walk in your undergarments in public.

📌 Sorry to see the tourist places. Its loosing its Old Goan charm.  please dont kill the identity of Goa and our Konkani Culture.
